ApoB plays a central role in lipoprotein metabolism through regulation of total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol (LDL-C) concentrations in plasma. Two restriction fragment length polymorphisms (ECoRI and XbaI) represent single base alterations in the coding region of ApoB gene.
